Success Comes From Within

Success comes from within… not from the outside…

I hear of so many people wanting to quit programs because their sponsor is not there for them, or is no longer with the program.

Let me give you a clue, folks. Your sponsor is not responsible for your success. Your chosen program is not responsible for your success. You, and YOU alone are responsible for your success.

Being an Entrepreneur is about taking the lead and leading, not following. Leaders gather their resources and then they take action. They don’t need anyone to tell them what to do, when to do it, or how to do it – they just do it. Their bosses used to tell them what to do. As an Entrepreneur, you are your own boss – you give the directions to yourself now.

Success is a mindset. Just as failure is a mindset. You have to have a successful mindset in order to be successful. If you have a failure mindset, then no matter what you do, you will be destined to fail.

Our brains are like a programmable mechanism. What you feed it, determines the outcome from it. If you program yourself with thoughts of “I’m not worthy”, “I don’t deserve it”, “I can’t do this”, “I’ll never get this right”, “I’ll never be as successful as so and so”, or anything of the like, then situations will present themselves to prove you right. And vice versa – if you program yourself with thoughts of “I am successful”, “I am worthy”, “I am deserving”, “I can do this”, then situations will present themselves to prove you right.

You have to decide to be successful. You have to decide that you are worth it and deserve it. You have to decide that you can and will do it. You have to decide to be more successful than you’ve ever been before.

One thing you can do, is stop comparing yourself to others. Because, let me tell you, you will never measure up to someone else. But, guess what? You’re not supposed to. You are YOU. You are not like others, and others are not like you. We are all individuals and we should treat ourselves as such.

I understand that there is a lot of competition out there and that we have had it beat in our brains since birth that we need to be better than someone else. But in all reality, the only one we are in competition with is ourselves. If we can just be better than ourselves each day than we were the day before, that’s what it’s all about.

We have to stop looking to outside sources to “make” us a success. Success is all about you and what you want. Not what your parents want, not what your co-workers want, not what your neighbors want, but what YOU want.

If YOU want to be a success, look within yourself and ask yourself if that is what you truly want. Do you really want that success? Are you ready for success? Are you comfortable with success? Do you really want to be an Entrepreneur, your own boss? Are you really comfortable making the kind of money you envision making? Are you ready to change your mindset – everything that you have known so far to be “true”? I know it can be done. Do you?

It’s all up to you. You just have to decide that you want it and then do it. Believe in yourself and you’ll fly high. You can be a success if you choose to be. Success comes from within, it starts with you, and it ends with you.

You Are Miserable By Choice

If you are miserable right now, it’s because you choose to be.  If your today isn’t shaping up like you want it to, you and you alone have the power to change your tomorrow.

Quite literally, you are miserable right now because of the thoughts you are thinking.  If you don’t like the way something is, change your perceptions, change your thought patterns.  Choose to be happy.  When you choose a new outlook on life, it can change how you feel and how you respond to events.  Most importantly, you need to quit blaming outside uncontrollable forces for your problems and challenges in life.  Through your thoughts you have made decisions and those decisions have led you on the path you are on.  The path of life has many forks and branches.  Will you continue on the same path or will you ignite the power in you right now and choose a new, better, and brighter path?  Your future is up to you.  It is what you make it.

It all comes down to the power of your thoughts and decisions.  You can stay miserable by continuing to think the way you do, or you can choose to think different thoughts, happier thoughts, more productive thoughts, and therefore alter the decisions that you make based on those thoughts, and become a happier, more enjoyable person.  Change isn’t always easy.  Your mind is going to want to resist it.  But your mind is not in control, you are.  There is a saying by Albert Einstein “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”.  If you want to see a change, the change has to begin with you.  Choose better thoughts.  Make better decisions.

Failure is Not an Option

It is often a person’s rock bottom moment that their attitude shifts. Failure becomes not an option. They must succeed in order to survive. Why do we let things get to their worst possible point before we make a change? Because we are programmed to survive not thrive. So we let things go until the last possible minute, and then, faced with failure, somehow muster the courage and the strength to pull us out of our slump. Think about it in terms of movies. The hero usually saves the day at the last possible second. How can we avoid this?

Make a plan for success and thriving. You can read self help books that will put you in the right mind set. That will give you the skills you need to reprogram your brain to think differently. It is said, that if you don’t like your situation, change your perception of it, when you do that, your situation changes. Perception is the key in this.

When faced with failure, insecurities and depression loom. But somehow, we pull ourselves up out of that with the phrase “Failure is not an option”. It is at that moment that our brain kicks into high gear and gets us going and motivated to do the things we need to do to get us out of the hole. Our creativity sparks and our inspiration soars. Suddenly, we find that we don’t have to be stuck, and we know the way out, and we do what needs to be done, we take action, we make things happen to change the situation we are in.

I challenge you to think ahead and not let things get to the bottom of the barrel before you start scrambling out. Not all failure is bad, it can be a learning lesson. But if you can start to think about thriving instead of just surviving, you can save yourself a lot of time and effort.

To your thriving success, may failure not beat you there first!

People are told every day that they don’t deserve something, that they can’t have something, or won’t ever have something.

Why are you letting someone else determine what you deserve or what you can or cannot have? Why are you giving your power away?

Fear rules a lot of people. There are two kinds of fear. Authentic fear and inauthentic fear. Authentic fear is a bear outside of your opened tent flap while camping. Inauthentic fear is the negative story that you tell yourself. It’s a fear that lives in your mind, and your mind alone.

So, when a fear pops up, you need to analyze it. Is it authentic or inauthentic? If it’s inauthentic, you must dispel that fear in order to move on. Write it down in a journal and in detail. Then look at it. Is that fear serving you? I would guess that it isn’t. If it’s not, then you need to move past that fear.

Visualize (visualization is key and a very important step to success) your life as if that fear was not true, if the opposite happened. Such as, if your fear is of success or of failure. What would your life be like if you were actually successful? It would be amazing and wonderful, wouldn’t it? I think the fear of success or failure comes down to what I said in the beginning.

We are conditioned to survive, not thrive. We are programmed that we are only worth so much, and in most cases, that’s not much. We are told, you’ll never amount to anything or you’ll never have whatever it is that you want. (A story I recently heard was that John Reese used to take an auto trader magazine to the video store where he worked to read on his breaks. He would look at the Porsche that he was going to buy. His boss saw him doing this and told him that he shouldn’t do that to himself because it was very very likely, that that is never going to happen, that it was very likely he was never going to have that car. He told his boss, that no, he didn’t realize, it was inevitible that he was going to drive back to his workplace one day in the near future in his Porsche and return videos to them that they have to put away. And he did just that – funny though, they all thought it was his Dad’s car – they still didn’t believe it could be his…) Parents also often tell their children that they shouldn’t go to college or go into a career in art/music/drama because it’s iffy, it’s not stable, and it’s not secure. But, it’s that child’s dream, not the parent’s.

Don’t ever let anyone steal your dreams. You need to go for what your dreams lead you to. Take that power. You, and only you, have the right to tell yourself what you deserve or what you can have. You can have anything you want in this world as long as you believe.

Some food for thought on overcoming adversity, fear, and the objections of others:

Lucille Ball was told she was wasting her time because she was too shy to put her best foot forward…

The Beatles were told that the recording company didn’t like their sound, that guitar music was on the way out…

Ulysses S. Grant was a failed soldier, farmer, and real estate agent and went to work for his father as a handyman…

Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team and went home and cried…

Thomas Edison’s teacher told him he was too stupid to learn anything that he should go into a field where he might succeed by the virtue of his pleasant personality…

Walt Disney was fired from his newspaper because he lacked imagination and had no original ideas…

Abraham Lincoln’s fiance died, he failed in business twice, he had a nervous breakdown, and he was defeated in eight elections…

If you’ve never failed, you’ve never lived. Life equals risk.

(Just some background on this video from my perspective: My uncle sent me a link to this video; unbeknownst to him, that just that afternoon I had to resign from my job [turned out to be a good thing though - I'm now home with my family and thriving in my home business]. I sent him back a message thanking him, that he didn’t know how much I needed that right now. Later I had posted about my resigning on my Facebook, and he read that, and thought back to my comment about needing that video right at that moment, and tears came to his eyes – he was touched because he had touched someone else…)

Overcome your fears and let your dreams shine. You are the master of your future. Make it a bright one!

The Universe delivers what you ask for. And you ask for these things via your thoughts. So, suffice it to say, if you are thinking negatively, the Universe is going to deliver negative things. Don’t you think it’s about time to start changing your thinking patterns right now?

You might say that’s easier said than done. Well, I am here to help you gain a better perspective. It’s easier to do thank you think.

We are trained from a young age to think things are hard and that to get anything and anywhere in life, you have to work hard at it. While in a sense that can be true, but it’s not entirely true. Things only have to be hard if you make them hard. If you think that it takes hard work, then it WILL take hard work. Have you ever noticed people who things just come easily to? Guess what? They don’t have the thought that things need to be hard in order to achieve results. They think thoughts that things are easy to do.

It’s interesting how some people can pick up skills very easily, and others can’t seem to put two and two together in the same skill. Take me for example. I am a natural computer user. I have no fear of the computer. Computers come very easily to me. I am pretty much self-taught on computers. From formatting Word and Excel documents, to playing online computer games, to hand-coding HTML, it all comes very easy and natural to me. And I’m not even entirely sure why. It just does. And I embrace that. To me, my thoughts are computers are easy, they are natural, and they are nothing to be afraid of. Others who can’t seem to pick up computer skills to save their lives have thoughts of computers are hard, difficult, and unfriendly. So, naturally, the Universe is going to deliver to them, a hard time grasping those computer skills.

Now let’s talk next about turning negative thinking or statements into positive thinking or statements. Many people think that they are thinking positively, but they aren’t. And let me share with you why they are not really thinking positively. They make one big mistake. They follow up their thought or statement with a caveat, or a negative twist. Something like, “I feel great… I am in no pain”. Well, guess what, there’s that negative – there’s that “pain” that they thought they were getting rid of.

So, let’s do a little footwork to try to learn how to turn negative statements into positive statements. We need to totally get rid of the negative and keep it completely positive. Let’s start with some examples.

Say someone has a blood clot, or they have heart problems (blocked or clogged arteries). Instead of saying “I want to be free from any blockages or clogging”, let’s try something like “My blood flows through my arteries and veins freely, easily, and effortlessly”. See how that was completely positive, and actually said what the person wanted, and not what they don’t want? That’s what you have to do. Get away from thinking about what you don’t want because the more you focus on what you don’t want, the more you will get what you don’t want. Whether you want it or not, it’s what you are focused on that you will get. Let’s try another example. Say someone wants more money. Instead of saying “I want more money so that I can get out of debt” (see the negative on the end of that statement – debt?). Try something like “I have more than enough cash to provide me the services and goods that I want”. There, that’s completely positive and focuses entirely on what the person wants, instead of what they don’t want. Let’s try one more, just so that you have the idea down pat. Instead of “I feel great today… I’m not having any pain in my back” try “I feel great today… I can move my back freely and easily and have complete flexibility”. Bingo! Completely positive and focused on what the person wants.

I hope you’ve gotten the idea here. Take one thought, right now, that you have been thinking and take all negativity away from it and turn it totally positive. Focus on that positive statement. Give yourself a chance to succeed.

Do not fear success, fear failure. You can only fail if you let yourself. You are the creator of your life, so live well, my friends.
