When you are broke, you often suffer from a mentality of lack. That is not going to bring good things into your life. You often stop wishing for things. Shopping becomes a thing that you dread because you feel like you can’t buy anything that you want, just what you need to survive. You need to get out of that place in your head. Stop telling yourself stories that you can’t afford whatever it is that you are wanting because indeed, you will get just that.

Instead, take a window-shopping trip. Look at all the things that you want. You know you can use those Bridal and Baby Registries. Just pick one of those up, and yes, you’ll need to enter false details, but have fun with it. Go all around the store and scan all of the things that you would like to have. Think of how great you will feel when you have them. Think as if you already have them. Maybe enter the date of the event as the time that you want to have all of these things in your life. Instead of registering for china and bedspreads or bottles and diapers, check out that computer or that Wii or MP3 player, or that beautiful outfit you would love to have. Allow yourself to dream. Print out your registry and then look at it every morning, imagine how you feel having those things. Visualize yourself using the items. Think about what it feels like to use them. Use all of your senses. When in the store, touch the items and remember how they feel, and how they make you feel using them. Let this be a fun experience for you.

You can also go online and download pictures of the things you want. The new car or house, the radical looking computer, the huge amethyst geode you see in office building lobbies, the digital picture frames, the home decor items you’d love to have in your house, whatever it is that you want. Save the pictures to your computer and then create a movie with it. Put some awesome motivating music to it, usually something fast and fun. Keep it short – a minute is probably more than enough time, and then watch it each morning to start your day and get you motivated. Then find a way that you begin achieving those things that you want.

Above all, start the dream process again. Think from a standpoint of abundance. Be happy with what you have right now, and be grateful for all you will be receiving.

Are you honestly making the grade when it comes to running your own home business?

Many times people fail in their online business because of several factors.

The Law Of Attraction
You may believe in the Law of Attraction, but apply it in the wrong fashion.  You might believe that all you have to do now is wish for riches and the riches will come.  But that is not so.  Having the belief that you are already wealthy is good.  But, you need to follow that thought up with an inspired action in order to put into place the building blocks for you to become wealthy.

But My Business Runs On Autopilot
You may believe that you have joined this awesome new program and you have been sold on it because you like the idea that it “runs on autopilot”.  Well, yes, it does run on autopilot.  But!  You must give that autopilot direction before it can drive for you.  You must put into place the advertising to let people know how to find your website first.  Then, once that traffic is being driven to your website, then it’s being driven 24/7 while you sleep, while you’re at the grocery store, while you are at your kid’s soccer game, etc…  But you have to do the initial driving in order to train the “autopilot”.  So, again, you have to take some sort of action in order for your plan to work.

Not Enough Pain
You may not be in a place yet where there is enough pain to make you do what is necessary; therefore, you end up treating your business like a hobby and only working it part time.  However, it may feel like full time to you.  Most of the time, however, if you were to analyze your tasks, you would find that you are not doing the things that will make you money, you are merely staying “busy”.  “Busy” doesn’t cut it.  You have to do the moneymaking activities in order to be successful.

Analyze Your Performance
When running your own home business, you are at the same time, your Boss and your Employee.  Let’s look at your business performance from a Boss’s perspective.  In most companies, there is a probationary period while they evaluate your performance and decide whether you are a liability or an asset to the company.  If you perform well, you usually receive a raise, are taken off probation, and become a full-time employee with all the benefits.  However, if your probationary performance is sub-par, you are either given remedial training and another probationary period to improve, or, in most cases, you are Fired.

Evaluation Time
Take a moment to think about your performance since you joined your company, especially if you have been there at least 60-90 days.  Have you been getting the leads?  Have you been making the sales?  Have you been generating enough leads and making enough sales?  Whatever you decide to grade yourself by.  Do you make the cut?  You are the boss.  You have to decide if you, as the employee, are hired or fired.

In the case of you being your own boss, don’t be so quick to fire yourself and give up.  It has been said many times that most people’s success is right around the corner, but they give up right when they are about to achieve it.  Go the remedial training route and get yourself back in the game.  Just know that you have to take your business seriously now and kick yourself into high gear if you really want to be successful.  Sometimes people just need a quick stiff kick in the butt to get them going.  I hope I’ll see you on the inside.  You can do it!

You know, by saying things like “I have no chance in hell”, “I can’t do this”, “there’s no way this will work for me”, or “I’m not good enough”, “I’m not smart enough”, “I don’t have what it takes”, or “I’ll never be as good as so and so”, “I don’t have enough time to make this work”, or “I can’t make this work”?

When you say these things, you are creating your own roadblocks. Thoughts are things. Whatever you think about, you bring about. Even if you do not believe in the Law of Attraction, these forces are in place whether you acknowledge them or not. It’s like the Law of Gravity. The Law of Gravity existed even before the Apple fell on Newton’s head and he gave it a name. It is a principle.

When you think things, it puts that energy out into the Universe for manifestation. So, if you are thinking that you can’t do something, guess what, you are right, you won’t be able to do whatever it is you are trying to do.

So, in 2010 let’s get our heads on straight and turn those negative statements into positive statements. Instead of “I have no chance in hell”, let’s try “I have every chance in the world to succeed”. Instead of “I’m not good enough”, let’s try “I am more than good enough”. Instead of “I’ll never be as good as so and so”, let’s try “I am as good as or better than so and so”. And just who the hell sold you the bill of goods that you aren’t and/or can’t be as good as someone else? You can be just as good as you put your heart, mind, and soul into.

Never sell yourself short. You are doing yourself a disservice. Buck up, chin up, and get your game on. You are an awesome person and you deserve to succeed just as much as the next guy, maybe even more so! I want to see that inner light in you shine bright. Don’t be afraid to come out of the dark, it’s very nice here in the light. Live a little. Smell the roses. And quit being your own worst roadblock to success.

In today’s economy, the job market is becoming more and more unstable and unreliable. One day you have a job, the next you don’t, and it’s not as easy to get another job, as some would lead you to believe. Sure, you have skills, but these days companies are cutting back, not just on employees but on salaries as well. You have now become highly over skilled, underpaid, and unappreciated. Is that how you wish to continue living your life? I suspect it’s not, as by your presence here, it is proof that you are searching for something else, another way to make a living. So you’ve stumbled upon the world of Internet Marketing and you are wondering what it’s all about, what it is, is it for you, and can you do it?

First, let me start by sharing what Internet Marketing is not. Internet Marketing is not a lottery ticket. No one is going to pull your number and suddenly you are a millionaire. Sorry to burst your bubble, but your riches are not going to come to you instantly. No one can do the work for you. You can’t just sit back and expect it to fall in your lap.

Some who falsely believe in the Law of Attraction believe that all you have to do is “wish” and it will come. Am I saying that the Law of Attraction is false? Absolutely not! I wholeheartedly believe in the Law of Attraction. What I don’t believe is that anything I want will come to me without any effort on my part but a thought. The thought is what puts the energy in motion. From there, it’s up to you to do what it takes to fulfill that thought. The Law of Attraction works by you putting the energy out to the Universe of what you want and the Universe returns to you with an “inspired idea” of what you can do to attain what you desire. But you have to do the work.

So, what is Internet Marketing? Internet Marketing, in a nutshell, is a skillset of advertising whatever you have to offer, whether it be a product or a service. You have to have a way of getting the word out to others that you are here and you have something to offer. There are many methods of Internet Marketing, from Articles like this, to blogging, to the Web 2.0 properties such as Video, Twitter, and Facebook, to banner ads, classifieds, and Google PPC. What is your role in Internet Marketing? Whatever you choose it to be. Pick an area that interests you and master it.

Internet Marketing is work. It is hard work. With anything, you have to work. But it’s the type of work that you do that you have to decide you want to do. Do you want to work and build a future for you and your family? Or do you want to continue to be a slave and work for someone else’s dream?

I recently watched the movie “The Matrix” again. It brought me to an epiphany. I can take the blue pill and go back to sleep and continue to be a slave and work for someone else and what they want, for their dream. Or I can take the red pill and awaken to the possibilities that lie within me. I can free my mind and take control of my own destiny. Neo was asked if he believed in fate. He replied that he did not. He did not like the thought of him not being in control of his own future. He chose to have his mind freed from the Matrix by taking the Red pill. My decision was the same.

So I have to ask you. Do you want to take the Blue pill or the Red pill? Do you wish to go back to sleep and be a slave to society? Or do you want to be awake and free and of value to society? All I offer you is the truth. I can show you the door. But you will have to be the one to open it. Once you open it, however, you can never go back. Your mind will have been freed.

If you are ready to open the door to Internet Marketing, I welcome you on the journey with me. I can show you how you can gain the skills to market anything to anyone anywhere in the world. Internet Marketing is doable, but only if you choose to make it so. You have to have the desire and the passion to make it work. The Internet Marketing vehicle can work for you, but only if you learn to drive it, drive it well, and enjoy driving it.
